David Smith

David Smith embarked on his career in Mortgage Banking back in 1998, initially serving as a loan officer. This early experience laid the foundation for his enduring commitment to customer-centric professionalism. Over the years, David’s professional journey has taken him from the East Coast to the West Coast and back again, enriching his expertise along the way.

His diverse background encompasses roles such as a designated FHA underwriter and a whole loan trader, engaging with both Wall Street and Main Street Banks. David has also held leadership positions, including spearheading his own company and serving in executive-level roles. Throughout his career, his guiding motto has been, “Let me help you from scenario to close.”

Currently, David is honored to be a part of the First Coast Mortgage Funding Team, where he eagerly anticipates leveraging new loan opportunities to positively impact clients’ lives.

Beyond his professional endeavors, David enjoys walking the beach with his dog, watching surfers. David and his wife Michelle joyfully accompany their teenage daughter to marching band shows and jazz band competitions. Music is a big part of David’s life and he’s a huge Grateful Dead fan. One item on his bucket list is to travel to Norway to see the Northern Lights.
